God’s Love
The very essence of God is love. God’s love comes to us in many forms to meet us in our time of need. This powerful love is our anchor, as we navigate the ups and downs of life!
God loves us even when we feel unlovable or undeserving. His love is not based on who we are or where we come from in life. We are his creation and his love is available to all who desire it.
We all attempt to fill the emptiness of our hearts in various ways. While all these appear to work for some time, there is a place that is reserved for God alone. Embracing God’s great love fills those voids and satisfies the deepest longings.
It’s because of God’s great love for us that he sent Jesus into the world. The sacrifice opens a way for us to make peace with God and enjoy a personal relationship with him.
What a beautiful thing it is that God in his great love should choose to have a relationship with us – that we can talk to him and hear his voice in the everyday matters of life.
God never forces himself on anyone, and neither can God be forced upon anyone. He has given each of us the wonderful gift of free will. In his great love, he gently knocks at the doors of our heart waiting for us to open, and let him in. Opening the door is to our advantage.
Living in a world and a time of such great uncertainty, the certainty of God’s love is very comforting. We may not fully understand what the future holds, but the one that we have trusted does; and he says that he will never leave us nor forsake us. How reassuring!
Whatever life has for us, God promises us his loving presence every step of the way. Knowing that he walks with us, sometimes even carrying us through, removes our fears and greatly strengthens us.
When sin darkens our hearts, not only does our spiritual vision get blurred, but we are also weighed down with guilt and shame. But we don’t need to stay under that condemnation. God’s forgiveness is available to us every time we go to him with a repentant heart. We can live free of guilt and filled with light.
God is very generous with his love towards us at all times. His kindness and compassion make him very approachable even in our darkest and weakest moments.
God’s love offers protection in the midst of the calamities and dangers that we are faced with. His presence is our greatest safety and refuge.
God’s provision is available always, even in the midst of adverse circumstances. If we trust him, he is able to care for us beyond our expectation.
It is the powerful all-consuming love of God that changes our hearts and makes us capable of loving him. And it is that same love that helps us love one another in spite of our imperfections and shortcomings.
